Hey guys,
I'm looking to switch up my workout routine for a bit. I had been alternating between Insanity and running but my knees have begun to hurt. So I want to switch to the elliptical. Has anyone with only a little to lose (ten lbs or less) had success on the elliptical? When I use it I keep the rpm between 75 and 100 alternating directions and I get in a great sweat but will it give me weight loss?

Thankssss I look forward to hearing from you

when i initially lost weight (about 15 lbs) when i came back from being away at school my freshman year i did the elliptical A LOT. now i dont know if i lost the weight just because i was so inactive before or if it was specifically the elliptical, but it worked for me!
  • It's really been working for me. Work in some HIIT on it like sprints or tabata intervals. You'll get in a great workout and a great afterburn

It does as long as you have an elliptical that has a lot of different settings for fat burning. You do not want to keep your heart constant but fluctuate up and down just like HIIT. Im sure you will kick *kitten* on it

Thanks everyone I think I am going to try it out for a bit. I already do interval like training on there but I will try and switch it up more. How long should each interval be?
