I've never had to really wear high heels to any social function, ever. When I do, I get the not-so-high heels. I'm kind of a tomboy. I'd rather wear jeans and a T-shirt with a hoodie than a cute skirt or dress.

Well, our work's Christmas Party is this Saturday, and I finally decided to spring for regular high heels. I tried them on and was shocked that I could walk in them fine o_O

I have been running the past three weeks and doing lots of calf raises (at least 100-150) and squats while at work and I think I have actually built up extra strength in my ankles that makes it easier to wear them and walk in them without losing my balance...

I'm still going to practice in them around the house before the party just to make sure, but this was a positive thing for me :)

Now I feel like a "real girl" ...lol.

P.S. Will update if I bust my *kitten* at the party. D'oh!
