Hi all,
Hope I can get some advice to some starter questions...
1) When is the best time to exercise, before or after a meal?
2) Did you go with the calorie, protein, fat & carb goals that MFP set based on your weight & height?
3) I don't want to do a "low carb" plan but I do want to watch them. What is a good amount per day? Or should I go with what MFP says?
TIA!

The best time to excerise is whenever you can fit it in! I have a very busy day so I typically squeeze it in after work before dinner. I find that it actually makes me eat less at dinner.
With the goal that MFP sets you will find it easier to watch your carbs because you will want to stay fuller longer and wasting all of your calories on carb heavy items tend to not really help keep you full. You will find the foods that work best but still find a way to work in the carbs you love or you will never stick with this "lifestyle change". (I hate calling it a diet because diets don't work!)
Best of luck and most of this is trial and error ... find what works best for you to be able to meet your goals and stick with the plan.0 -

that depends, for me at least an 1/2 to 1 hour after a meal or snack, to make sure I dont get tummy upset. If its before a meal or snack, I find i lack the energy to really push it. aparently it dosent matter what time of day either ( I already posted that question) whatever feels best for you, just be consistant! if youre not sweatting you are not working hard enough.

YES!! I figure MFP knows better than I do and so far its working. I reset my goals every 10 lbs lost.

I wouldnt obsess over them, dont go over but dont worry otherwise. If you want some healthy carb saving/super filling and yummy tips I can send you some.
