Maybe this has been posted recently.....I don't know. I've been told by my husband that I spend too much time on here so I cut back...lol.

Does anyone else's significant other get jealous of the time you spend on this site?

LOL, thats not an issue for me anymore but it would be if we were still together!
I am sure it wouldn't have been just a time issue either, so many women on here!

    you playa!!
    lol

Well...when I had a SO it made my habits worse and I didn't log. I value people over tasks...so I would always put him before this, but I'm glad to be losing again...back to progress!!

I'm very lucky to have a gal that is losing weight right along side me. She is also on here, so we don't have that problem. =)
It really helps having a partner during weight loss, especially one that you are that close to, and live together with.

No, but If I ever get caught making out with my phone, I'm gonna have some 'splaining to do.

No. He knows that I log my food and that I use it to help me on my journey. I am also not all over the forums when I am with him. I log my food and then put the phone away. :)

Negative. In fact, my husband writes down ingredients for me to be able to log when he cooks for me.

    NOT a bit...
  • I don't think my husband has ever been jealous of anything/anyone regarding me in our whole relationship! (6 1/2 years)

    NOPE!

She's right here with me on MFP - losing fat, looking and feeling great.

That is so sweet!! If my husband cooks, he keeps salt out of it or if he pops popcorn, he uses lite butter on mine!

He's not jealous, but he does like to remind me that I'd burn more calories if I'd go for a walk instead of browsing the message boards.

I think my husband thinks I'm up to no good on here. He is jealous that I'm conversing with other people and not him.
I feel so guilty when I'm browsing the forums or looking at my news feed.....and I AM NOT doing anything wrong!!! It's annoying...

I get this one too. I try not to get on too often while we are together. Unless he is flipping channels at the speed of light, then all bets are off.

I love that you are on all the time but take it from me, when your with him, stay off your phone, and not just MFP. I have been in his shoes.

No. I used to waste just as much time on facebook so it really didn't make a difference. And he's usually watching tv, playing a video game, or online so it doesn't really matter.

My boyfriend does get a little jealous sometimes. He complains that I'm on mfp so much. He's been supportive the rest of the way though - he'll cook with me and he's following my diet as well. I really appreciate that he's been so positive for the majority of this process.

Edit: He doesn't think I'm up to no good on mfp... I think it just bothers him that I'll spend time logging all my food in and checking out the forums rather than watch tv or something with him.
  • My husband is very supportive. He helps me with grocery shopping & cooking nutritional meals for the two of us. Plus he has never been the jealous sort.
