I'm thinking about starting to jog/running but don't really know how to go about starting. I read an article on beginners running and it said Run 1 minute, walk 4, then the next week Run 2, walk 3, the next week, run 3 walk 2(i think you're supposed to do this for 30 minutes)...Is this right? Please help!!

I'd look into the Couch to 5K program. http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml
There's a group on here dedicated to it if you're interested:

Both the C25K and the run/walk system are great ways to get you into running. I know people who do entire marathons with the run/walk system. Do whichever seems to fit and you can keep doing.0
