How long does it take you to get back in shape?

I am finding that the older I get, the longer it takes.

In the past, I only needed to drop 15 - 20 pounds and in a few months I was in pretty good shape.

I've only been at it for 3 weeks and haven't noticed much progress on the scale or off. The only thing I can say is that I can add more weight to the machines at the gym, so that's something. I figure it's going to take another few weeks, maybe months.

How long does it take you to start feeling fit again?

If it's weightloss you're working toward, you have to be really diligent about the calorie counting. If your MFP account is set up with a goal to lose weight, stick as close to what it tells you as possible, log everything as accurately as possible, and give it time.

If it's fitness you're working toward, push yourself. Do things you haven't done before or make them more challenging if they're getting easier (like you said, adding weight at the gym). Working with weights might not burn a ton of calories *right then*, but it's going to help reshape your body and make you look better in your clothes, so keep it up!
