OH and i also have another question? so i go to the BMR tools and put in my weight and height and it says i have to eat only 1,100 calories a day!!! just to maintain my current weight! i weight 100lbs and im 5'0ft im a teen also. i dont workout! and everyday i just go to school then come back home.

Heya, I already sent a friend request to you. The most important things I can tell you is that you can eat what you like, as long as you budget for it (for example, if you know you're going to have pizza for dinner, eat less during the day and get a workout in so you have extra calories that you can eat), and get exercise. If you're a small person, like me, you need to eat fewer calories, especially if you sit all day at school, and then come home at sit all evening. Working out, sports, etc, and building muscle will help you be able to burn more calories and lose weight more easily.
  • Hi there! We can be friends, but i'm mostly on MFP Monday-Friday. On the weekends, I just enter my foods.

What foods does your mom make thats oily and fattening? Most Middle Eastern food is very very healthy - except the fried stuff, which is not much of anything. My mom is Middle Eastern and she makes a lot of dishes that are stew-like: bazailya, fasoulia, bamya, mulukhiya, sabanekh.. all of these are very healthy: you have your veggie load and your meat, as well as your carbs: rice. You may need to have a sit down with your mom to see if she can tweek food to make it more healthy. Is she making kibbeh a lot? or, sambousek? Those can be oily. I had ma7shi yesturday and today, eggplant and green squash... as well as rice filled grape leaves.. it wasn't highly caloric at all. My mom doesn't cook as much lamb as a lot of other mothers, she has high cholesterol..so.. lol

I'm not so sure about the BMR.. check the information w/this website:

You can add me if you like! I'm in my early 30s..female..
