It makes me sad when I see tons of women on this site--bless every single one of you!!--who still live and die by the misconception that women don't need to/shouldn't/won't benefit from weight training. I've seen the results that can be produced from an effective weight training (plus cardio) and nutrition regimen. Not all weight training schedules are created equal ladies... I'm not sure why women avoid it, but I wish they wouldn't.
This article http://exrx.net/WeightTraining/Weightlifting/Women.html gives some very good (proven) reasons why/how weight training is just as beneficial for women as it most certainly is for men.
So, to the ladies--after you've read the article, preferably--do you think you'd want to incorporate weight training into your exercise routine? Why or why not? Men, feel free to chime in with your reasons.

Dieting and cardio dropped my fat, but weight training gave me my female shape back again.0
