How to resist hunger drive at night?

Well, I'm one of those people who go to sleep late at night. I've been trying to change it for some time, but still unsuccessful. Anyhow, I stay well under my calorie goal per day and been losing weight pretty easily over the course of the past 2 months. I have seen a lot of people having trouble staying up at night and grabbing something to eat. Any suggestions to resist these urges? I tried water and green tea. No luck, still hungry :(

I'm usually up to at least midnight too, and get the evening munchies.

My doctor insists that eating breakfast actually curbs evening snacking, but i haven't found it working that great for me yet.
So I just plan for it. I eat a little less during the day so that I can have some snacks in the evenings.

i also try my best to keep the snacks relatively healthy. a favourite is popcorn, but i also like an apple with peanut butter, or sometimes some veggies and hummus. Depending on my mood.

some days this works, some not. but I figure its a work in progress

Save some calories for night time eating. It doesn't matter what time of the day you eat as long as you stay within calorie limits.

Yep, I usually plan my day so that I have extra cals available in the evening because I'm always hungry late since I usually go to bed around 1am.

Thanks guys! I think saving calories for the evening will actually work for me! Eating a fruit wouldn't be a bad idea to kill that hunger, would it?
  • drink water, brush your teeth. ha wish something worked for me!!
