Ok I've been doing great but last week after my TOTM kinda went wrong and never actually came and had exercised like a woman possessed the week before I had put on 10lbs of water instead of my usual 4lb by the end of last week. I've spent every day since getting the water back off and made it back to 10st 7 (147lbs) for my Tuesday weigh-in but have yet to actually lose anything this month as I was 147 at beginning of December.
Exercising just piles more water on and I just want to lose 2lbs before xmas eve to make my '30lb lost' goal for xmas day.
My body seems to be used to my diet now gluten free/low carb and going to bathroom more reguarly, (sorry if thats TMI!) I'm not getting as much effect from exercising when I do, but can't get any new games until I get my new ones xmas day so new exercise routine will start boxing day.
I was thinking of Intermittant Fasting but not sure how to do it properly.. last ate at 3pm yesterday.. as I was late up just chucked some clothes on and took dog out, so not eaten yet, only had cup of tea so far (10.20am in UK).. I was thinking of eating one meal at lunchtime then not eating again until tomorrow lunch time.
what other drinks are allowed? would I be allowed to have an Ensure hot chocolate food supplement drink early evening (330cals) so body doesn't think its starving so i'd last until tomorrow lunchtime?
or should I not eat until 3pm today as it was 3pm when I ate my dinner yesterday?
or should I just up my cals? usually I'm a 3 meals a day kind of person, maybe snack meals rather than one big 'main meal'?
I seem to be stuck and just wanted to drop this last 2 lbs before xmas day.
Thanks
p. s stats.. 147lbs, 42, 5ft 3 and half... gluten free due to mild wheat intolerance, nut allergy, currently only eating rice OR potato (usually sweet potato sometimes oven chips) once a week as treat meal. normally 1,000-1,200 cals except for PMT week (closer to 1600 with chocolate and more carbs!)

I think your daily calories are ok around 1200 a day. I would take one day a week and eat 2400 calories. This will increase your fat burning hormones and also encourage your body to release that extra water weight.
As far as IF, you don't want to eat any calories while fasting or this would defeat the purpose. Your metabolism will not slow down fasting for short periods of time. Lots of valuable info at leangains.com.0 -
So I can only drink water during fasting period? Or is a cuppa tea ok? (Yorkshire tea with bit of S.S milk)0

It's generally accepted that zero calories is the way to go with minimal calories from a sugar free drink acceptable.0
