For men who lift

Hello All,
My husband is currently talking about adding some more exercise into his schedule as he does 2 long cardio (soccer) workouts per week, he’s never done any lifting and he has always been in good shape.
I’ve recently got into lifting myself I am starting my second circuit of CLX and I suggested that he gives resistance training a try and see how he gets on. He’s very reluctant to do this and believes that more cardio type exercise will be more beneficial to his fitness, thinking about adding more running.
I think he should give the weights a go to see how he gets on!
So I wondered if any of you gents know of any articles etc that might help me?
Thanks!

Go to the library/book store/download/order a book called "New Rules for Lifting". You should check out "New Rules for Lifting for Women" while you're at it.0

Thanks I actually have recently purchased New Rules of Lifting for Women I've not finished reading it yet but it seems very good.
That may be a good idea to get him to look into it a bit more0
