Moments of willpower.

I take a class during Thursdays when we always have a snack-time. We're six people in this group, and most of the time the snacks are pastries, cakes, cookies or other baked things. It was initially my own idea, since I was such a sugar addict before I started with MFP. But, these days, I've started to say no. I'm sitting with 5 other people, who are all eating and enjoying it, and I can smell it, I can see it, and yet I'm not eating it. I've survived plenty of these moments now.

And it amazes me. Before, I could easily eat as much as they do or more. Sometimes they eat cookies for more than 500 calories in one go and it disgusts me, although I never say anything to them about it. My willpower has gotten strong enough to scream "Don't you dare take one of those cookies and then complain about not losing weight!" at me whenever I start thinking "Maybe just once..."

If anything should be counted as a NSV, I'm pretty sure this is it. Thanks for reading!

That's an awesome NSV! I've been having similar NSVs lately. My biggest problem has been self control around junk food, and only recently have I started harnessing my inner willpower to overcome this. I've been in a few situations in the past few weeks where everybody around me is scarfing down junk food. I find it's easiest if I eat a healthy meal or snack before going into a situation like that, but also bringing food alternatives with me (like those 100 calorie packs-- can give me a chocolate or salty fix, without me having to eat the junk food that's around at a party or gathering or class).

    Anyway, well done!
