Help! How do you change your calories?

Options
Hey I wasn't entirely sure where this post belongs, but I figure since it has to do with increasing my motivation why not put it here?
So I gained a few pounds since I joined MFP ): But now that I've started losing, what I lose doesn't show up on the little red ticker on the left side of my home page! I guess because I'm losing above my "starting point". Is there any way to change the starting point so that it will show up? I know it's silly but having a big red number telling me what I'm doing is working really does help!
I've gone into settings and tried changing it from there, but it doesn't seem to change ):
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

worry not - there seems to be a delay for some reason.

I tried refresh - even shutting down and rebooting - NOTHING.

    And then, it updated...lol

If you need to update the starting number go to your ticker preferences.

Hey, if you go to your ticker thing on your profile and press add ticker to site (just underneath it) and scroll to the bottom of the page and press the link under 'Updating you ticker'. You can change your start weight.

I've wondered the same thing about changing the weight. I joined then went through a divorce. A year later and 15 lbs heavier I'd like to start fresh with the numbers. Let me know if you figure it out!

    Go to Personalize your ticker

Then on the top menu bar just click Ticker - it's all right there

    Mobile Tickers Badges BMR BMI

    CLICK TICKER ABOVE
