Does anyone have any idea where I can get a good quality elliptical trainer at a fairly good price? I would like to not spend over $700 if at all possible. I am heavy and need something durable that can hold my weight.

-Thanks

why an elliptical? Its a solid exercise, but its just one exercise. My recommendation is that you walk and/or jog outside and use that money to buy yourself a nice weight bench and a set of adjustable dumbbells, along with a stability ball. You will then have a world of possibility as far as exercises.

I bought the Schwinn 431 Elliptical Trainer on Amazon.com for $649.00 back in August, and I just looked and the price is now $574.99 (free shipping).....darn! But I LOVE my elliptical. I work out on it every day and it is so nice to be able to hop on it whenever you have a spare 1/2 hour, rather than having to go to the gym, etc. And I don't like running...it hurts my feet and I find that I don't push myself as hard when I run. Also, if you have 700 dollars to spend, you can get a fitness bench AND weights as well. I got the Cap Barbell Fitness FID Bench for 48 dollars and it is great! But as for the schwinn elliptical....it gives me a great workout, its sturdy and reliable and I find that it has a pretty accurate calorie counter too. Let us know what you decide! :-)

I just bought a nordictrack e5.5 from sears. After tax, it was $601.00. It has great reviews, and it's a great price! It has ifit technology, holds up to 300 lbs so it's def durable. It has 16 in 18 in and 20 in stride adjustment. Definitely a GREAT deal!!
