Running shoes for dogs

I run about 15 miles a week with my pit bull. We have run together since she was little, and she's about 3 1/2 now. I have noticed lately that her foot pads are worn in a couple places, and today when we came back from a run one was cracked. Being a pitbull, she gives no indication that she is in any pain so I didn't have any idea until later.
Anyone use running shoes or pads for their dog's? Any recommendations on what I should get? We run mostly on sidewalks in the city, so I don't need anything too bulky. We also live in Florida, so I don't need anything for snow either!
Thanks for any help you can give.

Because dogs rely on their pads for being able to take off, stop, etc. I would be hesitant about putting booties on your pup. Might check with your vet to see if they have a footpad cream to help heal the crack safely. I've heard not to use hand cream for humans, though because it can over-soften and dogs paw pads do need to be rough.0

Can you call your vet and ask?
(I have two pit mixes from a rescue. Love that you have one too!)0
