Soy milk..

I have recently started using light soy milk because we are not big milk fans and with only me and my husband, even quart spoils before we use it. The soy milk lasts for at least a month, and I actually don't mind the taste.

My question is...is the soy milk considered one of my daily dairy servings? Or is it a protein. I'm confused.

Soy milk is not a dairy product at all.
I too drink Soy...mainly cause milk makes me sick.
I believe it falls more under protein, but since I get the flavored kind it lands in carbs and fat as well.
    Check the label.

I do the light and fat free soy and organic low fat milk.
Milk makes me pooty so the organic is better on my tummy and the soy has no effect what so ever with me.

    I prefer soy. I drink 8th continent

I used light soy milk in sugar free/ fat free pudding today & it was fine. We don't drink much milk either, just use it in cooking.
  • I would count it as a dairy serving. It's not really high enough in protein to be considered a serving in my opinion

Where have you heard that soy milk lasts a month? It doesn't spoil the same way that regular milk does, so it doesn't appear/taste/smell the same when it spoils. Most packages say that it should be discarded 1 week after opening.
