Kilo Abs!

The martial arts school I just started with has a yearly event called Kilo Abs on New Years day. It is an event where everyone who wants to shows up to do 1000 sit ups in one sitting. While 1k may sound incredibly intimidating, I've discovered that it's actually not that bad. Since I only just started seriously training for it I'm way behind, but it could be worse. What I've been doing has been adding 50 sit ups to my regimen every day. It's actually going pretty well, and since I'm doing the sit-ups every day, I'm no longer experiencing that not so awesome experience of sore abdominal muscles.
So the main purpose of this thread - is there anyone who wants to join me? The sit-ups don't have to be pretty or official. No one holds your feet down and hands are free to do everything but push or pull you up. It's best if you have a mat to do the sit-ups on, but a towel or medium blanket can help to decrease the lower back pain that comes from doing sit-ups on carpet or whatnot.
Anywho, it's actually really fun and rewarding even before I get to 1000 sit-ups at a time. I'm looking forward to being able to see my abs and the definition of them soon. :-D That's a good reason alone to join me, right? ;-)
