Question for you:

Do you use an RSS reader to stay abreast of your favorite blogs and websites?

It seems that at least once per week I'm asked by people here on MFP how on Earth I keep up with the various websites that I pay attention to. I suppose the question stems from the fact that I try to put out a couple of "good reads" lists each month. I'm always amazed by how few people use RSS feeds and readers.

I can't imagine not using an information aggregator like this and I assumed that most people relied on these things.

So do you use one? If not, why?

never heard of it, don't even know what RSS stands for? will google it now:tongue:
  • RSS feeds are the best thing to come along since podcasts ...Though I havnt used them recently (no internet at home has a tendency to slow that kinda stuff down ya know)
  • Yup - I typically catch up on Fridays, too :) I use Google Reader.

Your blog is listed under my "Fit and Health" category.

@Chris... I actually do my good reads posts because I get the feeling that very few of my readers read anything but my site. Not all... but some... and I think everyone deserves to be exposed to a variety of writers who know their sh*%.

For sure. At least if you're dialed into the right facet of the fitness community. It's still be drowned by a massive amount of garbage, which is why such a small ratio of people actually stumble upon the worthy content. But it's improving... or so it seems.
