help with calorie intake please

If my BMR is 1500 and my daily calorie goal is 1520 am I really going to lose a pound a week? Im a little confused.

BMR is the amount of calories needed if you did absolutely nothing all day but lay in bed. Your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) is BMR + Additional calories burned in everyday life (walking, talking, showering, working, working out, etc.). Your TDEE is likely 2020, which mean this is calorie intake need to maintain your current weight. To lose a lb per week, you need to create a caloric deficit of 500.
The Math: TDEE - 500 = Daily calories need to lose 1 lb per week.
So: 2020-500 = 1520

Please note that if you do stay in bed all day waiting for someone to turn you and give you a sponge bath, you will have to reduce your calorie goal.0
