Uterine Fibroids

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there was any one out there struggling with uterine fibroids. I would like to have children in the future. I'm going to see a second opinion next week.

What procedure did you choice and why?

    I had fibroids and endometriosis for years. I finally had a hysterectomy (kept my ovaries), but I had already had my tubes tied knowing I would not want more children. The other option that was given to me was an endometrial ablation. From what I understood, it's like they blowtorch your uterus to keep you from having heavy periods. I don't know how that affects fertility, though. By all means, get a second opinion and learn ALL your options. Good luck.
