Need exercise recommendation for a 44yr old male!

So been on this site for a while, on and off, managed to lose 25+ lbs .. gain a bunch back ....going through divorce and stuff makes me want to eat :-) .. so it is not just you ladies who like to get some comfort food :-) .. then figure out that is not the answer and started Hot Yoga .. love it as it is not too taxing on my joints (I have knee problems)

Went to a weight specialist and it seems that I need to lose about 15lbs to be in the healthy zone.. and that means approx 600 or so calories less from my current 1900 calorie a day.. so I figure being on a 1000 to 1200 calorie diet would work..

what sort of exercises do you guys recommend for a 44yr old with knee problems that burns 400+ calories in about an hour or so.. ?

I'm 47 and have dislocated my knee several times and have had knee problems since my 20's.

I HIGHLY recommend P90X. I started doing P90X when I was around 300 pounds and it really helped me get into the best shape that I've been in since high school.

P90X gives you alternative ways of doing the exercises for people with knee problems. Since I've been strengthening the muscles around my knees, I haven't had any of the problems that I used to have.

Now that you're about to be single again I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend P90X to get you in shape for the ladies! Show that ex-wife what she'll be missing!

I'm 53 with a bum knee. I do swimming, biking, spinning, walking and weights. I like to very my workout so I don't get bored. My favorite is riding my bike. I've tried to do some running but the knee won't handle it. I would really love to do a triathlon. The most important thing is to find an exercise you can enjoy. If it is something you dislike it will get real hard to get motivated to do it.
