Hi
Just started doing this and want to know if I should be doing the normal version or the treadmill specific one.
Normal: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml
Treadmill: http://www.c25k.com/c25k_treadmill.html
I am using a treadmill at the gym but wanted views on the differences / benefits of one vs the other?
Cheers

I suppose it depends what you're most comfortable with. I've got a treadmill at home so I'm doing the treadmill version - I'm a complete novice and find the idea of running outside a bit daunting :blushing:
I'm hoping to build up enough speed and stamina to have the confidence to run outside in the spring.0 -
I don't think it makes one bit of difference. Whichever makes it easier for you to keep track is what's best for you.
I followed the treadmill version because I was using the treadmill and found it easier to go by the minutes rather than the distance covered. I didn't have a smart phone, so I had my times written down on a piece of paper in front of me. Old School. :laugh:0 -

Hi
I am definitely only going to do it on the treadmill and not outside... just wondered why there were some differences in the timings. Seems like the treadmill version assumes it is easier and makes you run for longer or walk for less time, compared to the same moment of the normal?
I'm not explaining this very well, lol sorry!0 -
To be honest, when I started I didn't look too hard at the normal one. I joined a challenge on here and the link for the treadmill version was provided so I went with it! I think the treadmill version is simplified so it's easier to follow without falling off
If you've got a smart phone it's worth downloading the app - there is a free one - as it means you don't have to watch the clock the whole time. I think you can get them on iTunes as well - I just prop my phone up and turn up the volume so I can hear the alerts over the treadmill!0 -
I have, and have done, the treadmill version. It is a lot different running on a treadmill, than running outside, at least for me there is. Whatever one you want to do is all that matters. What you are comfortable with.0

Ok, thanks for the input Ladies!
Looks like I will be sticking with the treadmill version0
