What are some good choices to make at Olive Garden? I got invited to go for lunch tomorrow. But it has been SO long since I have been there. I know they have soup salad and breadsticks... But I could use other suggestions as well... :) Thanks everyone.

The lunch portions are smaller and some of them are not bad. I would avoid anything with a cream sauce (alfredo etc).

The cheese ravioli is about 600 cals.. Eggplant parmesan if you like that is about 650-700 I think... Chicken or Veal parm is not bad either, if you prefer that. The mixed grill kabobs are probably very good (haven't looked them up) but that's a dinner only portion and fairly expensive (18$ i think). There are some good choices. Just remember how many breadsticks you eat, those are around 150-200 each.. so it's ok to have one or two but don't just mindlessly munch on them.

Yeah, you're probably looking at a heavy lunch, but it can be manageable. Depends on how many calories you have to start with... (sorry, I have 1800, so I can squeeze in a 1000 cal lunch and go very light at dinner but that's harder at 1200).

Olive Garden is one of my favorites! I usually get the Shrimp Primavera. Not sure how large the lunch portion is, but I can make 3 meals out of the dinner portion. I skip the bread and fill up on salad. Most people don't know that they have a low-fat dressing. Ask for that and you'll save a bunch of calories!

Steak Toscano, Herb Grilled Salmon & Mixed Grill... low carb, gluten free, lower calories than a pasta dish. And have the salad! Get oil & vinegar for dressing if you don't want the house dressing.
  • Thank you guys so much!! My mouth is watering at all the choices lol I cant wait til tomorrow... :)
