I am really determined to loose my excess weight once and for all, but being in the in the middle of the holiday season, there are lovely goodies everywhere I turn! I don't want to give into temptation, but I don't want to miss out either. And sometimes it just so hard to tell how much you are really eating in calories.

What are your plans/strategies to compete with this tempting time? Or how to you deal with events in general that usually revolve around food? Tips, tricks, exercises... Anything you've learned that has helped.
Thanks!

I plan on eating any and everything I want when I'm at Christmas parties (I think I'm going to 3 total) and I'm going to eat normal the rest of the time. If I'm up a few pounds after Christmas then so be it. I'll take it back off afterwards like everyone else does:)

my plan is to eat as smart as possible (turkey, vegetables, salad - easy!) and to allow myself some treats. there are a few I'm looking forward to, so I already know I'll get them :)

but I've worked my butt off to lose 50lbs! Christmas is "just another day" when it comes to my eating. I know myself - I can't "let it go" for two days and think I'll get back on track. I'll have (and track) my treats :)
