Need help with a problem area... My butt!

What exercises can be done to improve your butt? For the most part I am content with the muscles in my butt except one specific problem spot right where by butt connects to the inner thigh. I have been running for about 9 months I've seen great improvements in my butt, thighs and calves but this one spot I am still very self conscious about. Any advice is appreciated.

  • Stairs. I do the stair master and feel it in my butt :)

    Sounds like you need to do leg curls and other hamstring exercises. You can also do box jumps, stationary lunges w/the squat machine and squat as well.

    these are awesome!!! And you can hold them and bounce a little while doing arm circles. I saw it on an Insanity video and incorporate it in my gym workouts. Also there's a leg press machine where you lay at an angle and press the platform up and the higher up your feet, the more it burns in the butt. I like the regular leg press too.
    If you can find the Nov/Dec issue of Muscle & Fitness Hers there's a great section about butt exercises.

    Agree with the aforementioned exercises, especially the hip raises, these have been awesome for me, i can really feel them working.. also there's a whole series of floor workouts you can do on all fours - back kicks, side raises, etc.

    Ilove the brazil butt lift DVDs. They are awesome! (tons of square, lunges, etc. And more.)
