So, in writing a movie for Lifetime tv I've already got the main character..the attractive yet shy girl who doesn't know she's good looking,
and I've got the ladies dancing in the kitchen to 60's or 70's pop music while they make chocolate something-or-other.
I have the frustrated friend who always gives advice to the main character and its never followed.
The hunky guy whose wife died and left him to raise a precocious youngster
The Golden retriever
The cabin/lake house/house boat.
His pickup truck/jeep
Her practical car

What am I missing?

your missing the plot, where it takes place, back ground.
you can do a quick write and see if that helps

They all have the same plot and it doesn't matter where it takes place. Its a Lifetime movie for pete's sake. I'm just trying to make sure I've got all the cliches covered.

You are missing the ner do well younger guy(probably a sweaty mechanic) who the lead woman has steamy relations with.

Other than that you pretty much have it nailed.
  • you're missing the actual commission from Lifetime.

maybe you need to add someone who was accosted.

EDIT: damn my grammar nazi roots

ummmm I think you might be missing the lady that kills her husband because he is sleeping with her best friend at the same time that she is sleeping with her daughters boyfriend. I mean come on most lifetime movies are based on a true story!

You are missing the man hating woman..............Isnt lifetime the man hating station. It seems like the movies on that station are all about a man who is doing something horrible to a woman in one way or another...........So you need a man that is a woman beater, a woman stalker, or a man in drag that serial kills other women because deep down he is angry that he hasnt had his surgery yet.

Shouldn't there be a widowed horse trainer somewhere in there?
