good carbs vs. bad carbs?

I'm getting confused on the carb issue. I want to eat beans (I'm trying to increase my protein grams), but I'm worried about the carbs in beans. I did a little research and found that there are simple carbs and complex carbs, but in the opinion of others around here, are the complex carbs ok? or will they mess with my weight loss?

...are you low-carbing or what? Green beans are fine to eat. A carb is a carb really, it all gets converted to glucose. If you want to pretend that it really matters, carbs in vegetables are just dandy, carbs in potato chips, not so much.0
