sweet potato chips help please
I tried my first ever batch of them yesterday & was surprised how good they were. I did a search & just found how everybody seasons them. I also Googled them but thier all cooked deep fried or some unhealthy way. Lots of good ideas for seasonings, but how do you actually make them so thier crispy & not burned. Is there a recipe that you don't have to flip the chips half way through? Can they be put in an airtight bag for a few days, or are they something you need to eat right away? Thanks in advance.......Mike

i've never done sweet potatoes, but i did regular potatoes and this is what i did:
I sliced them into potato chip shapes with a mandolin. then i took a piece of parchment paper and layed them out flat on it, not touching. sprayed them with pam, flipped over, sprayed again. you could sprinkle with salt or whatever seasoning you like, maybe cinnamon or something would be good on sweet potato. i put them in the microwave for 3 minutes and then flipped them and microwaved another couple of minutes, checking often until crispy. be careful, they go from not done to too done very quickly. continue cooking in batches until all your circles are done. i dont know how long they would be good for because mine get eaten right away! i think the longest i had some were 5 hours or so, and they were still crispy.... good luck!0
