A friend of mine told me the best way to loose weight is to cut bread out of my meals. Anyone else heard of that and if so does it work?

Sure, if it reduces your overall calories. Calories burned needs to be greater than calories eaten. If cutting out bread helps you achieve that, then you will lose weight. But if you're a bread lover then it's really only a temporary measure, and not good for long-term weight loss.0

I don't recommend it unless it's a "forever" change. Changing the type of bread (such as using Ezekiel) and limiting serving size is a better bet and a good "forever" habit0

I cut out bread, pasta, potatoes....pretty much all carbs and sugars. My body has responded best to this, rather than just staying within a certain calorie range.0

Losing weight is all about calories. Cutting out any food you eat a lot will reduce calories. If you like bread, there's no reason to cut it out. You can cut calories by eating smaller portions.0
