Hey There,
I'm interested to find out which food tracking apps are the best and why. Do you all feel Myfitnesspal is the best? Any others that you've tried and can recommend as well, or for different reasons? Dailyburn? The Eatery? Im looking for one I can stick to over a good amount of time. Would love to hear which one you guys love and why.
Thanks,
Ashton

I've tried Livestrong MyPlate, Fitday and Sparkpeople and so far, MFP is my favorite.
MFP database is much better than Fitday and Sparkpeople (its been awhile since I have been there). I found MyPlate calories burned were way overestimated.
I love the app, the scanner, the forum, the database including the option to add my recipes on MFP. I like the Facebook like homepage where you can keep in touch with your MFP friends. Definitely my favorite so far.
ETA- just a note - this didn't affect my answer but posts promoting sites that compete with MFP are prohibited so you may not get the answer you are looking for.0 -
Hey Thanks. I appreciate it. Noted on the competing sites. I guess Im just looking for honest comparisons like the one you gave. Cheers!0

I personally have used MFP and Sparkpeople and livestrong
I found that MFP is much easier to use as far as tracking goes. Sparkpeople just was too impersonal and didn't have the database of foods or exercises that MFP does. So I have stuck with MFP. The people are great, forums easy to go through and motivation never far away.
I sometimes use Livestrong forums but not anything else.0 -
Definitely the best one i've used!0

I haven't tried any other sites but I LOVE MFP!0

... if we didn't like MFP best, would we be here to tell you?0

I've also tried LoseIt and Fitday and felt they both lacked an adequate database.0
