Hi, I figured I'd be direct. I just spent the last 15 minutes trying to come up with a subject line without sounding like I'm putting up a personals' ad.

Anyway, I've been with MFP on and off for a few months and finally have started using the app on my phone and computer consistently for the past week. I'm on a roll! Unfortunately, I'm the only one rolling!

I would love to see other peoples' progress rather than how many days X person hasn't signed on. I could nag my friends to go use the app but I am already exhausted trying to keep up with my own plate. :noway:

So, here's a brief introduction: :flowerforyou:

I am 30. Just got married. 4'11" and about 179 lbs. I don't "look" my weight because I carry my weight like a T-Rex. I would love to wear normal boots and shoes again. Also, I have a few health issues that might clear with losing weight.

I am a foodie. I love food and recently discovered the joy (or rather, I over came my fear) of cooking. Armed with the interwebs I have recently made ricotta cheese and mayonnaise!! I grew on up on Filipino "Soul" food (greasy goodness) so now I'm on the look out for healthier ways to making that and other dishes.

Oh, I'm also in progress of being more active. I swam in HS but that was ages ago... what I'm aiming for is doing my first sprint/mini triathlon in 2012. If the world is supposedly going to end next year, please let me do it with a medal around my neck.

Seriously, though, I'm happy I'm finally making the steps to being accountable health wise and I don't want to feel alone in this process! So yeah, if you'd like to be friends, message me. :blushing:

P.S. these emoticons are too cute/amusing LOL

  • I'd like a friend! That sounded needy. I don't care. I'd like to be able to check in on someone else's progress too, if only to motivate myself :) I'm 25 years old, 4'11'' and 160 lb. I've always been overweight, but over the last year I've gained a whole lot more and I have all these brand new rolls in my tummy. I think the worst part of it is that my cat now loves cuddling with me because I'm so much more pillowy these days *sigh* Anyway, this last week I've been obsessed with this app and I've started going to Curves, so I'm hoping to stick to my goals, lose the weight and fit into that dress in my closet that doesn't fit me anymore ;)
