I always eat them back but because I will eat lots of extras on christmas eve and day Do you think its ok to go all week not eating them and then splurge on sat and sun? Wasnt sure if 4 days was too long to go not eating them back.

This is not a debate on weather its right or wrong to eat exercise calories back!

What ever works for you. It's your overall calorie deficit that counts and the peaks and valleys are going to happen.

I wouldn't restrict yourself too much - as in on those four days, maybe only eat back a little bit of your calories, and bank the rest, so to speak..... :)

It'll be fine to spike a bit on the holidays, especially if you've been working out hard before hand.

try it...see what happens. This is all an experiment with your body chemistry. See if that works, make sure you get your workout in on those days too (holidays)

I don't think its an bad idea. I'm doing it this week, because a couple holiday parties, christmas and a week in vegas lol. And I'm a regular eater of exercise cals (although I'll be switching to a static intake of 1800 in January, exercise or not).

eat so you're satisfied. I don't always eat mines all back, and sometimes I eat all and some back it depends on what exercise I did that day and how I feel. but to answer your question, not a big deal. enjoy your holiday eatings

It could work. However, and I speak from personal experience, don't be surprised if you feel hungrier than usual and then feel a little tired while working out. I did the exact same thing for about 2 weeks and paid for it dearly during my long runs because my body truly needed more fuel.
Since it's only for a few days for you, though, it could be a good idea.
    Good luck!

I normally look at my calories net over a week. I normally aim for 75% of net per day minimum but, for example, yesterday I was at only 66% due to a stupid number of exercise calories (1650 - a half marathon) and the fact I'm already on maintenance.... I fully intend to make this up over the next few days, and likewise I had a couple of days of 'carb loading' before the event.

In other words - so long as you don't feel tired from under eating, you're fine.

Another thing I did while on a business trip and had to eat out every meal.. Switch your calories to Maintain those days. Depending on how you have your calories set that could gain you up to an extra 1k calories!
