Gym lock - combination or lock ?

I don't know where my combination lock is and I'm not happy about that. I need to buy a new lock in a hurry so I need to make up my mind.
What do you all think - is it harder to stick your combination (in case of a senior moment) in your sneaker, or do you carry a key ?

I did the key thing for a while. Everything... Stuffing it down my shoe, tying it into my shoelaces, in the bra... Eh... I finally got wise and got one of those combination locks that has letters and numbers... Instead of keeping track of a key, or remembering some pre-set abstract combination of numbers, you set it yourself, so you only have to remember a word, or your initials and birth year, or whatever! That's the best for me!0

I grew up with kids that could open one of the combination locks in about 2 minutes. I use key locks.0

Key(s). My gym locker has a built in lock (I pay extra for this but they also wash my kit daily). I use a sister gym at the weekend, and have a locked padlock for there. I have both keys on a nappy pin which I either pin to my top, or place in pocket in my gym bottoms. Didn't like the idea of the combination padlock as I have a terrible memory.0

I have a combination lock - I use my phone to play my music @ the gym and have the lock code in my phone because I just can't remember it.0

I prefer a combination lock and usually set it to something familiar that I can remember easily. I don't think I've ever forgotten one so I don't worry about keeping a combo. A key is just a hassel to keep up with to me.0

I use a combination lock that lets me set the combination - that way I can't forget it. I don't like keys because I don't have anywhere good to put it when I swim laps.
I started out with a generic combination lock and had it almost 18 months, never had a problem. One day I had a really good workout (which always makes me a little loopy in the head) and the combination literally fell out of my head. I stood there for like 30 mins trying to get it open, all to no avail. Finally I had to ask they guy at the desk to cut it off for me. To this day I can't remember the combination, even though I used it 4-5 times a week for a year and a half.
To avoid losing my lock, I always lock it to my gym bag before I leave.0 -
I do not use a lock at all. There are only about 2 women (including me) at the gym I work out in so I am not too worried about things getting taken.0

I used one of those "set it youself" locks for a while. It stopped working between my shower and getting dressed. Never again.0
