These recipes for oatmeal are in the latest Women's Health mag - they sound yummy.

Each recipe is based on 1/2 cup dry rolled oats, prepared with water. Or make it with 1/2 cup skim milk for an additional 50 calories.

OATY EGG FLORENTINE
Stir 1/4 cup chopped baby spinach into oatmeal. Top with 1 thin slice of Swiss cheese and 1 egg, sunny side up.

350 calories, 15g fat (6g sat), 34g carbs, 140 mg sodium, 5g fiber, 18g protein



STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM
Add 1/4 cup non fat Greek yogurt, 1 Tablespoon honey and 1/4 cup sliced strawberries to oatmeal and stir well. Garnish with strawberry halves.

300 cal, 3.5g fat (0.5gsat) 61g carbs, 25mg sodium, 6g fiber, 12g protein



MAPLE BACON OATMEAL
Cook 2 slices of natural turkey bacon. Mix oatmeal with 2 Tablespoons maple syrup, then crumble bacon on top.

360 cal, 8g fat (2g sat), 61g carbs, 390mg sodium, 5g fiber, 11g protein



CHAI OATMEAL
Mix oatmeal with a pinch each of ground cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and ginger, and addl 1/4 cup milk. Drizzle with 1 tsp honey and 2 tablespoons slivered almonds.

320 cal, 11fat (1.5 sat), 47 carbs, 30 sod, 8g fiber, 11g protein



CACIO E PEPE (ROMAN STYLE - SALT AND PEPPER)
Mix oatmeal with 2 tablespoons shredded pecorino Romano cheese and 1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper. Top with 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil.

330 cal, 16g fat (4.5 sat), 35g carbs, 250 sod, 6g fiber, 11g protein
