20 cals to go...suggestions?

It seems like every day i'm under by like 20 cals.

Heres an example of what a day would be like:

Breakfast: 1 package oatmeal, 1/4 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 cup v8 splash
snack: cheese string
lunch: 2 pieces of toast with 1tbsp peanut butter, 1/2 tbsp honey, 1/2 a can of campbells veggie soup and 1 cup of milk
snack: a fruit
dinner: 1 cup rice with 1/2 cup veggies and 1 tbsp soya sauce
snack: 100 cal pack

at the end of the day i have 20 cals left and 16 grams of fat. but i'm -44 cars and -2 protein.

    Hi there, really, I don't think I'd worry about the 20 calories at all, just my opinion.....however, the V8 Splash is loaded with sugar, if its the one my kids drink because they don't all like veggies.......

    My personal preference would be to EAT my calories rather than drink them.......seems more satisfying to me, again, just my humble opinion.

    sugar free gum has like 4 cals per piece...hm, a pack of 5 sticks..PERFECT!:laugh: :tongue:

    I would add 1/4 cup more vegetables to my dinner.

    Hang on, are you 20 calories under your target, or 20 calories under your minimum? If it's 20 under your target, I won't stress about it. If you're under 1200, maybe try some fruit as a snack.

    don't worry about 20 extra cals. But I would worry about being quite low on fats. Try having a handful of nuts instead of a grain product once a day. snacking on crackers? replace that with nuts to up your fats and lower your carbs.
  • 20 cal....wow, you are down to the nitty gritty..I am usually off by 50-60...I always try to be under a little incase I missed some...

    Man, maybe I need to rethink this..:huh: :huh: :huh:

    Toss a few slivered almonds in with your rice and veggies. Or eat a few grapes for a snack.
