Sparkling Water...

Hello,
I've been drinking sparkling water for about the last four days or so. I'm starting to experience nausea, a sour taste in the back of my throat, and some abdominal pain. The sparkling water does have aspartame in it.
I've called my doctor and I'm waiting for a call back. Do you think it's the aspartame?
Which would suck because some times, I need a bit more than water but I don't want soda.

What about trying a Crystal Light packet in your water instead of sparkling water? I can drink their lemonade 24/7! Mmmm0

I hate plain water too. Try the MIO water flavors.. 0 calories, lots of flavors, and delicious.0

Try unsweetened sparkling water? I drink unsweetened lime or berry flavored water a lot.
If it is the aspartame, I wouldn't recommend crystal light, as I believe it has aspartame as well.0 -
Well you could stop drinking it and see if these symptoms disappear.
I don't know about the nausea and sour taste, but could the abdominal pain be from all the carbonation you are taking in?0 -
I had the same thing happen after I cut out artificial sweeteners from my diet. I drank Crystal Light for 2 days and had horrible nausea and headache. They both went away when I stopped drinking anything with artificial sweeteners in them. I stick to True Lemon lemonade with Stevia or La Croix Lime which has nothing artificial in it.0

When I was weaning myself off diet soda I drank plain unsweetened sparkling juice mixed with real fruit juice.. then slowly over time reduced the amount of juice.. now I drink sparkling juice plain or with lemon... unsweetened.iced tea is also good when you don't want water.0
