I have added you! You can do this! What kind of workout program are you doing now?

HI, I also have a lot of weight to loose ( 65+) and feel like it is so far away. I could definitely use some extra motivators as well.

Mostly cardio for right now. I used to be ridiculously active (soccer, then softball, then karate) and then stopped due to time management issues, so now I'm just trying to get my body used to working out again.

I know exactly how you feel! I just look at the scale and I say to myself "really!? that's it!?!?!? that's ALL I lost!!?!?!" but we can do this!!!

Hey girl, I'm friended you. Just a thought. If you break up the 125 lbs into much smaller increments, you'll feel a sense of accomplishment along the way. Like, when I began, I was nearly 200 lbs. Maybe reward yourself for each 10 lbs lost, or change your ticker to 25 or 50 lbs, and then when you've hit those extend it out.

I've tried that, and it ends up backfiring. Like...I'll say "oh! I lost the first 10 lbs! Let me reward myself with a cheat day!" and the cheat day becomes a cheat week. Then month. Then year. I'm so bad when it comes to that.

This time though, instead of doing mini-increments, when I lose 50 lbs, I'm rewarding myself with something big and not food-related. Not sure what yet. Then another 50, same thing. Then the last 25, because I know it's going to be the hardest, a whole bunch of new clothes.

Hi! I'll send a friend request. I need to lose about 70 pounds - it feels a long ways away. The more motivators in your corner, the easier the journey.

I think it's a great idea to reward yourself with non-food related items. Good luck!!

Hey, I'll add you! I still have about 98-102 pounds to go until my final goal. You can do this!! I found it is much easier when you have friends. I feel as if my friends are counting on me, even if they aren't, so I feel like I HAVE to log on. =) I have mini goals, but no reward when I hit them. I just have a list saying I want to be ___ pounds on Valentine's Day or ____ pounds by St. Patrick's Day and so on, just so I have motivation to work harder, but that is just what works for me. I know what you mean about the "cheat week/month/year". Last time I tried this, I lost 6 pounds and I was so happy, had a cheat day, and ended up not coming back for three months. This time I am serious, and as of today, I lost 8.6 pounds so far, and I couldn't be happier. Good luck, and like I said before, You can do this!!! =)

Hi! I was actually thinking of posting something that pretty much was exactly the same as yours! I've been here about a month and while I have definitely struggled and had a few more "cheat" moments than I should have, I've also stuck to this longer than any other option I've tried in the past. I'm looking to lose around 80 lbs and man it seems like I will never be able to! I know I need to step up my exercise more, still trying to find the thing that makes that happen. But I can tell a difference just with my new eating habits, in both my clothes and general way I feel. I would love to have some friends on here to help me through this and help hold me accountable! So I will send a friend request and if there is anyone else out there that reads this and would like another friend, feel free to add me too :flowerforyou:
