So are you more honest on MFP then you are to people face to face? I know I am.

Seirously no one is going to answer this?

Yeah Definitely am, but only because honesty is asked for and encouraged on MFP, in real life I think people generally avoid the truth and do not even really want to hear it......even if they ask.

I am no more honest here than in real life, I try to be as honest and unpfront as possible with everyone.

I will say that I do disclose more details about some things on here though. Either because of the perceived anonymity of the internet forums, or that this is targeted for a specific part of my life and I don't want to bore the rest of my family and friends always talking about diet and exercise!

I'm the same both ways. I try to be as honest as I can both online and face to face with people. I've got no reason to lie about anything.

I guess if we're counting lies of omission, I'm fairly dishonest in real life. Generally, I've found people end up rather not knowing what I'm thinking face to face. So I don't tell them.

I have a reputation at work for being honest to a fault. When people ask me for an honest opinion, they know they'll get it.

I'm the same way. I never really lie to anyone, but I keep a lot of information to myself. I'd say that I'm the same in real life and on MFP. There are just things that nobody has to know, so I don't tell them.

I try to keep it pretty much equal. There are things I'm more comfortable discussing with people in real life and things I'm more comfortable discussing here but that's not really any different than I am with my real life friends. My best friend gets it all and depending on who you are and what kind of friends we are will determine what I talk about with you.

I am honest, all the time, IRL and on the internet, to the point that it makes people uncomfortable and I metaphorically shoot myself in the foot in interviews. Zing.
  • Only a handful of people know what I am really like and what I've been through in life. There's a lot about me and my past that is flat-out no one's business but my own, and those whom I trust enough to tell. I used to be more open about what I thought and what has happened to me, but this only let people take advantage of me and the people I love. My chosen anonymity has protected me ever since I began using the internet in 1997 - which is very good, because two different stalkers have tried to snatch up my personal info and air out my dirty laundry, even going so far as to try to make me lose my job and home.

You can't really hunt someone if you don't know who you're hunting :D

UNLESS IF YOU'RE THE CIA. HELLO CIA, I KNOW YOU ARE READING THIS ಠ_ಠ

Now if you meant if I am honest about what I record into my Food + Exercise Diary and weigh-ins, then YES! I am very honest! :D

Yup way more! Crazy how you can be more open to complete strangers than friends and family around you.

    Nope...
Im honest all the way around. Why go through the hassle of bull-s***ting one side and thinking you can get away with it? Im more of a tell-it-like-it-is to be truthful with you.

As far as MFP goes, my Endocrinologist has access to anything she wants to see here as she was the one who recommended this site with her advice. She knows I enjoy my occasional margarita and its always figured into my daily intake... 8-)

I am honest with my own diary--ALWAYS.

When I choose to respond to posts, I am always honest there, too.

But sometimes I choose not to respond because I find the topic inane or uninteresting. No point in replying just to say, "I think you're inane and uninteresting."

Honest enough to piss people off pretty regularly. I try very hard to be tactful but either i fail at it or people are too sensitive. Not sure which. Online and irl.

If u really don't want my opinion then don't ask. There r times when I'm too honest. But i try really hard not to lie.
