Bringing salad to a party

So I have 4 holiday gatherings this week. I want to bring a salad to my Friday party, but have never brought one to any dinner party, so I have a few basic questions.

I like really basic salads, usually just with greens and dressing, but I want to add a little bit of goat cheese to spruce it up a bit. The salad will probably consist of fresh baby spinach, light baslamic dressing and crumbled goat cheese.

Do I mix the goat cheese in with the spinach and serve dressing on the side?
Can I mix with the dressing and greens right before it is served?
Should I add more to the salad or are those three things enough?

Thanks!

I love taking salad to parties- guarantees one healthy and vegetarian friendly dish. I do baby spinach with red onion and red pepper with blueberries, and light gorgonzola. I put pine nuts on the side and extra gorgonzola for those who want more. I use Annie's Special Request Red Pepper dressing on the side- it is soo yummy and all natural and healthy (a little high in sodium but that is it).

I wouldn't mix the dressing with the greens, it will go soggy. I would mix the goat cheese in (considering the ppl at your party enjoy goat cheese)

I also do pine nuts and roasted red peppers with goat cheese with a homemade balsamic vinaigrette.

A real nice change is pomegranate, chopped pear or green apple with walnuts and blue cheese with a homemade maple syrup dressing... it's nice and festive!

I usually mix the dressing in, at the party, right before putting out to serve.
