Is green tea good for losing weight? I heard it increases metabolism, is this true?

I've heard that it boosts metabolism and curbs hunger. I drink it fairly regularly and find I don't feel like snacking as much...whether it's the extra water or the green tea, I have no idea...

It's tea..........if you like it, drink it......if you want to boost your metabolism 20 folds compared to the 7 or 8 cups of tea that might actually translate into increased metabolism....run and up and down some steps a few times.

Is it good? I guess since it has antioxidants in it as well as helping to curb your appetite that it can be ok ... it's not a solution, but adding a cup or two in green tea into your diet is not a bad thing. Everything in moderation ... never really seemed to curb my appetite though (not enough caffeine) ... when I have coffee I notice it for sure ... but too much caffeine is not a good thing so tea is better ...

Oolong and green tea do have natural appetite suppressants and are beleived to help boost metabolism. I drink both regularly. I would suggest drinking both hot. Try to drink oolong tea with your meals, and green tea as an alternative to snacking. I like getting the loose leaf teas the best. I find that drinking oolong tea slightly before and with your meal helps you feel fuller faster and longer than without or drinking the same amount of water. I drink a lot of water sometimes to fill up quicker as well, but it doesn't keep me feeling sated for as long after a meal.

Try drinking more tea and see if it helps!

Green tea is healthy and can curb your appetite, yes, but it's even better for it's detox effects. It's packed full of antioxidants, so it helps your body shift some of that extra gunk that lingers after digestion. I drink it every day and I recommend it to everyone.

It's also given me fantastic skin. When I stop drinking it for a few days, my acne comes back.
