Sometimes a good feeding shocks the body's metabolism into overdrive.
Be glad, but cut back to goal over the next 5 days before trying that again.0 -
I would be scared too.0

<----Runs away from this topic...I'm sooooo scared!
In all honesty, the body is a mystery. But I wouldn't try doing that again soon expecting the same reults.0 -
All that salt made you pee alot and it's water weight. Oh wait, salt is supposed to make you bloat. Is it right before your time of the month. Sometimes, I lose water weight right before. Maybe you should see your gynecologist.0

I would make an appointment with your doctor right away!0

Solution? You lost weight.
If you want a fix next time eat 3 times that and Im sure you will gain weight!0 -
As an unlicensed internet physician, I will try to sum this up with a diagram of what is happening with your weight loss and increased caloric intake.0

I see a trend!0

cycling the amount of calories you get is always good for confusing your metabolism - however if you eat over consistently like that then the poundage will come on0 -
Ah, yes. Hello old friend.
40 wings @ Applebees? Pfft... lightweight.0 -
It's not the next day you need to worry about. It's the day after and the day after that.
I notice that my weight will lag a day or even two behind my behavior. It goes both ways. The day after a 10 mile run, I've lost nothing - two days later, I'm down 2-3 lbs.0 -

Very intriguing. I think we should run an experiment and have you eat like that every day for a month and see how much weight you've lost.0 -

So true. I'm always fine the next day after a big indulgence, but then a couple days down the road....BOOM scale skyrockets. It's not going to derail you completely, and maybe you won't have a gain in a few days. Take it as a deserved night of indulgence and MOVE ON. :drinker: cheers0 -
I wish that would happen to me. Last Friday morning I weighed 148 and Monday morning weighed 155 ! I ate pretty good except for one lousy salami sandwich Saturday night and 4 beers.0

Reading this reminded me of the time I was pregnant with my son, hugely pregnant and with my usual taste for hot and spicy in overdrive; had some friends over helping us move. So I thought I would do the nice thing and get wings and pizza. Well i ordered the nuclear hot wings (160#) turns out only the preggo liked hot and spicy eveyone ate (at most 1-2 wings, between 5 people)
I just couldn't keep my fingers out of the wings, finished off the last couple for breakfast the next morning. lol no lightweight here :=)0 -

Bobby is right, that is what I do when I hit a plateau. Bodybuilders do this too they call it "carb cycling" you eat low carbs on the days you don't lift heavy and load up on heavy lifting days about 2 to 3 days a week. It gets your body out of starvation mode. I usually work out just before I eat my dinner or breakfast. That way my body is already burning calories when I eat and I don't store much as fat. I wouldn't worry about a gain or loss over night unless it is more than 3 - 5 lbs. I can lose 3 lbs. going to the bathroom LOL.0 -

The way I do it is I weigh myself before and after going to the bathroom. No muss no fuss.0 -

Beat me to it... You must have been incredibly thirsty afterwards. That has to be a lot of protein as well... And a great #2!!!0
