Treadmill and the Elliptical

When I started working out on November 22nd. I had a goal of at least 2 miles a day. (At least 4 days a week)
I wondered what you guys thought about what I do.. Is it good, bad, okay?

Right now I have changed it. I was doing it all on the treadmill.

Now I have been doing 1 mile on the treadmill and one mile on the elliptical. Then doing the circuit things at the gym. Like crunches, and leg workouts ect.

Does that sound good?

    Also, today I just did the elliptical because my lower legs are starting to hurt a lot. Not sure whats going on there. I think I have pushed myself to much.
