breakfast is the most important meal of the day?

i've never been a fan of breakfast as i'm really not a morning person and prefer to eat later on. do you believe its the most important meal of the day? the only benefits it seems to give is that it keeps your hunger down until lunch but i never have this problem and skipping it can bring your calorie count down. thoughts?
