Does anyone know how many calories are burned during a one hour Zumba class?

    Like 600 if you put in 100% effort! At least thats what my zumba instructor told me.

    Do you have Zumba toning? Apparently Zumba toning burns more. Can anyone help??

    I use a HRM and I usually burn 600-650 calories/hour.

    Thanks everyone! I'm actually in a class once a week. It's finished for the holidays, but starts up again in January. I wasn't sure how to log it. Thanks for all your input!

    How much you burn is relative to how fit you are, how intense you perform the moves and how much you weigh. Per my HRM I burned 437 for a 55 minute class this morning. I am 5'9 and weigh 139. I'm pretty cardiovascularly fit and I work HARD. My biggest burns come from HIIT running and interval spin classes.

    I average 700-900 for 1hr. this is going by my polar hrm

    I burn about 450 calories in the hour, we take a 5 minute break after 30 minutes.
