I've gone three months without any real loss. I mean yeah, I lose 5 or 6 lbs.. but then it comes back, and I re-lose it over and over.

Do you ever feel like the better you make your metabolism, the worse it reacts to no-no foods?

I'm not saying I've been perfect. Yes, I've eaten some junk. But I always, ALWAYS log my calories, I always strive to eat right, and manage to do it about 90% of the time. Enough that, even with my mess-ups, I should still be losing maybe a half-pound per week (I'm still eating at a two pound deficit, but my metabolism is god awful), but instead, I'm up and down with these five or six freaking pounds that WILL NOT go away. It seems like no matter if I eat great or eat like crap, I go through the same damn cycles.

I still have about 75 lbs. to lose. I've lost 69 from March to September, but then it all stopped. Yes, I know my diary is private (I eat low carb and I am so tired of "haters" sending me junk about how carbs are the answer). I had severe reactive hypoglycemia before I started my journey, and it stays in control with a low carb diet.

I still feel better, and I'm maintaining the weight I lost-- it's just like I can't lose anymore. Oh, and I exercise three times per week. Sigh.

I don't even know what I want to hear by posting this. I guess i just want to know if anyone else has gotten halfway there and has just kinda sputtered out... :/

  • Have you thought about going to a nutritionist just for some ideas? I found mine very helpful and her calorie recommendations were lower than MFPs.
