... but I am going to make them because it is Christmas. Also, the fatter I make my co-workers, the thinner I look.
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/chocolate-chocolate-chip-bacon-cookies/
Ingredients
6 slices maple-cured bacon, chopped
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 cup softened butter
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup cocoa powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks
Directions
Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place the bacon in a large, deep skillet, and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon slices on a paper towel-lined plate. Crumble.
Beat the sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract with an electric mixer in a large bowl until fluffy and smooth. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix in the chocolate chips and bacon. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Let stand 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

As a MAN, the thought of bacon on or in anything is sooooo appealing. it just makes sense, toss some bacon on it. On the other hand....chocolate chip cookies are my kriptonite and as cool as it sounds, adding bacon to them might ruin the allure for me.....i'm stuck do i like this idea or do I hate it. frig maybe making these could make me hate chocolate chip cookies thus eliminating one of my biggest downfalls, or make me completely depressed for the rest of my life, Thanks KINRAD, thanks  :devil:0

Sort of related:
I gotta look up the recipe for potato chip cookies .......
Potato Chip Cookies
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup crushed ridged potato chips
1/2 cup ground pecans
2 cups all-purpose flour
In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar, and vanilla. Stir in potato chips and pecans. Stir in flour just until dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl and forms a ball. Shape into 1” balls; place 2” apart on greased baking sheets. Flatten with a glass dipped in flour. Bake at 350° F for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.0 -
Trust me, salty and sweet is a very alluring taste sensation, add some maple syrup and your set.0

I make these all the time for my daughter.
She has Cystic Fibrosis and so she need a high fat, high salt diet and these are perfect.
Now I have tried them before and they are not bad but I like the cookies better without the bacon.0 -
I think when you bring in fattening food to your coworkers at work, it means you're jealous...or something. *checks notes*0
