NSV: Great visit with the doctor!

Had my annual "catch up" visit with my doctor today. I hadn't seen her since I started with MFP, and I was excited to talk about nonscale results with her. I went in to get my blood work done last week, so we had some numbers to compare to last year. And what numbers!
My total cholesterol was down 50 points
Total cholesterol/HDL ratio down by 0.9
BMI down SIX points!
And the list goes on...
She was impressed...said that very few people in her experience are able to make the weight change I've made, and she cheered me on for the rest of the journey. She was highly complimentary of the way I'm going about it (changing habits, losing slowly, tracking calories, as opposed to following a specific diet)...and I passed the compliment on to MFP. Told her that this was the first time I could follow the "calories in/calories out" method of weight loss (the only thing that's ever really worked for me) for an extended period of time, and this is because MFP is such a big help.
Today's visit was a great reminder of the benefits of losing poundage that don't show up on the scale or in the mirror!
