Okay. I am a college student trying to get back to high school size.
I am about 5 foot 8 1/2 inches tall. I started out at 155 pounds and am now down to about 140.
Yeah fifteen pounds is pretty good when you dont have too too much to lose BUT a still have some on the thighs and a small belly pooch that HAS to go.
So, my deal is, I hate the feeling of eating. I am getting over an eating disorder, and i hate volume eating. I can often go throughout the day eating 700, 800, 900 cals with an hour or two exercising and 5 or six hours of sleep.
YES i KNOW this is NOT healthy. But what am i going to do? I feel full, disgustingly full actually, the second i eat breakfast and then the rest of the day. So what should I do? Eat small but healthy high cal amounts of stuff to get my cals in but not feel so full? I eat extremely healthy. I really am confused and don't know what to do I just know i want that fat GONE! I will do whatever it takes. Advice!??
Someone please help me!

I think you need to focus on some toning exercises. Tone up your legs & they will look less "fatty". Tone up your belly & that will look better, too. Eat high cal, nutritous foods like dried fruits & nuts. They don't fill you up, but they give you good nutrition & some much needed calories!
There are some girls on here that are also recovering from eating disorders so I'm hoping they see this thread & pop in to talk to you, too!
Good luck to you!0 -
also, (and i am saying this for the first time in QUITE some time) I dont just want to lose that weight. Although that is extremely important to me, I would really like to be genuinely healthy again and put foods into my body that will help it and make it and me feel good. ya know? okay sorry yall, just ranting and raving and worrying. Thanks any advice always much appreciated, yall are great! :flowerforyou:0

are you seeing a therapist or nutritionist to help you with your disorder recovery? everyone here is supportive and wants to help, but sometimes professional help is better. some of your statements were kinda scary sounding to me, so i'm just concerned about you.:flowerforyou:
dried fruit and nuts are great. nut butters are also good for dense calories.
i would ask also myself this: is 130 healthy for me right now? i thought about trying to get back to my high school weight, but then i realized it wouldn't be healthy for me (mentally, physically, socially). so my goal weight is higher than my high school weight. something to ponder...
take care,

It sounds like you and I are built pretty much the same with the same goals in mind. I'm 5'7.5" and used to weigh 158 lbs. My goal weight originally was 140. I am now 137 and my new goal weight is 135 (my high school weight). I work out 6 days a week for one hour each session (40 minutes of intense cardio, 20 minutes of strength training). The strength training has probably been the #1 thing that have given me the results I need. I'm VERY tone now, more so than I've ever been! As far as eating, I recommend what others have said: higher cal healther foods such as almonds, granola, cheeses, low-fat milk, non-fat yogurt, whole wheat crackers w/ Laughing Cow cheese spread (or put it on a ww english muffin), and the best thing yet...a protein smoothie: whey protein powder, fresh fruit, skim milk blended. SO good!!!
My second bit of advice addresses the eating disorder and body image. Having a graduate degree in counseling, I have to stress the importance of continued treatment. Group therapy is really good for these disorders. Perhaps you're already addressing this, however? Ok, I'm off my soap box now! Good luck to you! You're already on the right track by recognizing that you want to change. Oh, and congrats on the weight-loss! It's not easy!!! :flowerforyou:

You should talk to people about this. Eating more will help you have more energy to work out and be toned. Toning will really help you gain that confidence.0

Perhaps spreading your calories out abit throughout the day say 5-6 mini meals so you don't get that full feeling ...a bit of carb and abit of protein in each mini meal will keep your metabolism boosted and your body running properly.
