I sat in a 90 minute stand-still back up over the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in Washington state on they way home today, because some numnuts DUI driver thought he could elude police on Highway 16 and not injure others. Which, unfortunately, he did. Including children. WTF? And it's the holidays...

from an earlier post of mine. The state of Mass sent me a message today stating that they expected me to work on Xmas Day. Yes, 2.5 days before Christmas!!!! WTF?!?! I hate this state sometimes

we got a Christmas card from DH's employer, thanking him for his service and hoping he will have a great year of 2012 with the company. It's employees like him that make the world a better place. Yada, yada, yada.

He was told a week ago that he's laid off: Dec. 31 is his last day.
