I don't feel as though I have my whole heart in this

Right, I have been logging religiously for about 4/5 months now and I have lost a grand total of 29lbs (almost halfway to my goal of 105lbs) but I haven't been exercising much (if at all) and I think I need to get on it and set myself some targets to acheive over 2012

So here goes I want to be able to:

Do 50 push ups (pathetic i know but i have no upper body strength)
Do 50 sit ups
Start C25K in the new year
Complete 30DS (I bought the DVD and gave up after a week)
Do 30 mins of exercise 5 days a week
Quit smoking by the end of 2012

I know theres a lot of things there and some people may say that I am going to disappoint myself by not acheiving all of these but this is over the whole of 2012. I want to have my perfect body by this time next year.

I will do it and I am looking for a support group to help me through this.. nag me.. shout at me.. do whatever.. be brutally honest please because i need to do this.

Thanks

xxx

Well you've got 6 things on your list so if you can devote 2 months to each one you have a chance. I might see it as you aiming to start to address all of these rather than complete them. More likely to be successful then. 4 of your items are linked. I think if you do 30DS, the push ups, sit ups and 30 mins of exercise 5 days a week will all happen by themselves without you having to do much - except sweat lots and listen to Jillian telling you that everyone can do jumping jacks - well maybe they can but I'm in danger of being knocked out by flying boobs regardless of sports bra...so take that Jillian.....*ahem*

You could start C25K once 30DS has finished.

Giving up smoking is a difficult one. I managed it 9 years ago, but it was my third attempt! You've given yourself a whole year so get as much info about nicotine replacement and work towards it. Some people find stopping completely is better, some find cutting down first works for them. Give yourself a few days/weeks to work out what works for you.

    And good luck!
